Many
Club Members and Guests Convened at Assateague National Seashore to Commemorate
Two Years of trips to the beach, getting skunked, sharing great waves
and good times, and stoking on our sport off the beach. The surf was flat,
the flies were in abundance, the sun was not shining brightly, but we had
a great time with the kids, grilled many burgers and hot dogs, had an abundance
of good eats on the side, and knocked back our favorite beverages.
We had the good fortune to welcome one new member into our family of wave
trekkers, Francisco Calderon (and his family)... sorry we missed so many
others. - Rod
Chris Peterson Speaks Kid Stoke. It is easy
to sum up the anniversary party - No waves but great stoke. It was nice
seeing everyone and meeting some new folks. Francisco - I'm going
to take you up on your offer to fix the nose of my short board. I
can drop the board off at your house on my lunch break. let me know
when is good for you.
No waves to speak of but
it was a great day for the 12 and under crowd to get use to being on a
board, paddling and being deeper in the ocean than their kneecaps.
I know it was a successful beach trip when I was woken up by my 7 yr old
daughter demanding I take her one more time to the beach to ride on my
surfboard.
My 4 yr old son made a comment
on the way home sunday "I hope I can surf again." Future ASCer's!! |
