Some of the ASC gang congregated at the Baltimore Brewing Company in downtown Baltimore to celebrate Doppelbock Night, the night before Thanksgiving when this dark, rich beer is released for the season.  The five ASC'ers heading down to Costa Rica in April 2003 had also made their ticket reservations this day and the day before so we were all in fine spirits to chat about the trip, warm waters and the waves. Chris and Michelle also told us about their long trip to Africa this January, Eric about his visits to Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Barbados, and Neal and Amy's planned visit to Ireland.  Chris also told me that both he and Michelle would be attending next year's GuidoPalooza (GP2K3) -- so I updated the roster sheet this morning and it looks like we will be filling up quickly with Club members once again.

It was good to see pretzels back on the menu, but the overall menu and kitchen leaves something to be desired compared to just over one year ago.  In the future I thinkg we'll eat in Little Italy or at one of East Baltimore's Hispanic restaurant, or at a Chinese or Thai restaurant in South Baltimore or Federal Hill, before heading over to the DeGroen's pub.
