The
Neal Carver Report
Had a fun time last night.
That show was good send off as I start my Hatteras vacation tonight. Several
of us met up at the park in Baltimore for the Diamondheads concert. They
just released their debut cd. I had been emailing the lead guitarist Brian
Lavelle and spoke with him before they played. He was pretty stoked after
playing for a packed house at Mellow Beach night club (OC) last weekend.
The sound was filled with
electric reverb and they played some great surf tunes. My kids were hilarious.
They were front and center showing the band their surf dance. Yes, taught
to them by yours truly. Poor kids will never have rhythm. Anyway, Have
great week. Pray for surf. You guys might get bigger surf than me this
week. I'll have make some surf sacrifices when I get there. Oh well perfect
waves for teaching my sister-in-law who is a snow boarder from Colorado.
Surf on,
Neal

Take #1
Show was great and tanking
was fun, too. Your kids were a gas... and have some great moves, too (if
you're in denial then it must come from Amy). It was just like Shindig
or Hullabaloo with the kids dancing on the stubby posts in front of the
stage <g>.
Beth, Svetlana (KC was zoning
out at home) and I walked over to Donna's for some eats afterwards. Free
champagne with some kind of humus dip; great bread with spiced garlic butter
dip; excellent sandwiches and/or salad. And, very reasonable. May have
to catch another concert there before summer is out.
Have a great trip down to
the OBX... you'll be nicely set up in Avon, but it looks like you'll be
making regular trips down to Frisco for you AND the kids/company.

Kirk Mantay reports in:
All things considered, that's
pretty good timing. Surf looks 0-1 feet until at least next thursday. My
forecast is right so far. "knee minus" seems to be the term for the week.
Maybe late next week we'll get a pulse.
<<Editor's comment:
Well, Mr. Wave Snob, did you have a good time or not???>> |
