Message
From The Host
I would like to thank everyone
that came to the KWF. I think most everyone had a good time. I was
glad to finally meet Art and Pat. They are great guys that I look
forward to surfing with. Thank you George and Art for playing your
accustic version of "Margaritaville" for the crowd. Everyone loved
it and thought it was a cool touch.
For those of you who could
not make it, Pat won 2nd runner up in the shirt contest and Rod and Beth
were 1st runner up with matching shirts. Hope you all enjoyed your
prizes! Grand prize went to Chris and Jen. They are close friends
of mine. They actually went to Key West and purchased outfits for
the
party.
Aftermath Stats
4 cases of Corona consumed
3-1/2 cases of Lite consumed
6+ gallons of frozen margaritas
consumed
18 pounds of jerk Chicken
consumed
55 Hamburgers consumed
20 Hotdogs
Lots of side dishes
Many buns admired, even
more bodies squeezed
Kirk adds a few words
Neal, had a blast saturday.
Great party. I am still coping with the revenge of Montezuma tequila. The
jerk chicken was great and we enjoyed all the festivities.
I'll be in NYC for a wedding
next weekend. Will probably surf the day before the contest, but that's
it.
Ouch. Time to make a run
for the border (again).
Rod comments
Many MAHALOs go out to you
and Amy. And mahalos for opening up the windows of the summer to all in
the ASC. The fiesta met and far exceeded all my expectations... and they
were very high going in. And, if you DIDN'T have a good time may I suggest
some counseling?

Soon!
Very nice rendition "Margaritaville"
on guitar by George and Art ... our very own ASC Surf Band. I recorded
it on my digital camera but the sound didn't turn out very well (go electric
next time!).
We love our monkey!
I mentioned to Beth that it would also make for a good GuidoPalooza prize
(keep it in circulation), but she gave me this dirty look. Besides KC over
fondling it I just can't figure out her intense attraction to it???
Footnote: Kirk and I consumed
one of those gallons of
tub filled margaritas.
P.S. Looks like we
have the makings for a full team roster at the contest. And don't believe
Mike Law in the other post - he was shredding on Friday.
P.S.S. Superb eye candy,
Neal! Everything a surfer needs!!! You had this old tanker feeling young
again :)
