  • November 12, 2005, 9 am - Tree Planting & Wetland Restoration, Near Easton, MD
Come help us plant several hundred small, potted trees and shrubs in a newly created upland wetland just off the Oxford Road. Trees and shrubs can make a dramatic difference in the amount of nitrogen pollution that runs off the land into the Bay. Along with warm season grasses, these plants will cover much of the area around the shallow ponds. Equipment and refreshments will be provided; you may wish to bring a bag lunch and your own work gloves. Youth groups, teens needing Community Service hours, and families (with kids ages 12 and up) also welcome. For more information and directions, contact Margaret Vivian in CBF’s Heart of the Chesapeake office in Salisbury at 410-543-1999 or email mvivian@cbf.org
  • December 10, 2005 - Ice Breaker Holiday Party, at Fin Restaurant in Crofton, MD
